The Workhouse Photography Group is a cooperative photography gallery at the Workhouse Arts Center in Lorton, Virginia, the latter of which operates under the direction of the Lorton Arts Foundation.
Initially opening in 2008, the Workhouse Photography Group is becoming widely recognized across the Washington D.C. metropolitan area photographic community.
We are a collective of award-winning photographers whose images hang in many private and public collections. Our members are sought-after speakers, noted educators and talented artists whose distinct visions are presented photographically through traditional, digital and alternative photographic techniques. The fine art works displayed at our gallery are held to the highest standards of professional and archival quality image-making.
As one of the founding members of the Workhouse Photographic Society, I'm excited to share our work with everyone! Stay tuned for new posts, interviews and even images of all the members. Welcome to a great group!!!
ReplyDeleteLookin good! I make a habit of stopping by in person at the gallery when I get a chance on weekends on my bike ride (since its on one of my usual routes). You have some fine works hanging, and a wonderfully talented group of folks. I wish you all the best, and look forward to seeing great new pictures.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see what happens next! With such a diverse and talented group of artists, there is no telling. Many excellent pieces and perspectives adorn your walls and I am excited for the opportunity to see them on line as well as learning about the happenings of the group.
